Obituary for Lucille L. Folta
Lucille L. Folta, 80, of Merrill, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Lucille was born May 4, 1937 in Merrill, daughter of the late Mathias ‘Matt’ and Hilda (Klein) Beyer. She married Frank Folta on April 24, 1954 in Merrill. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2008. Lucille and her husband had dairy farmed in the Gleason area. She also worked at Semling & Menke Co. and Church Mutual. Lucille was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. She enjoyed camping, cooking, playing cards and working on puzzles. Most of all, Lucille enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Paul (Cindy) Folta of Irma, Kim (Peggy) Folta of Merrill, Randy Folta of Merrill and Daniel (Lea) Folta of Merrill; seven grandchildren, Neil (Chelsy) Folta, Megan (DJ) Schneider, Matt Folta, Erik Folta, Brandon Folta, DJ Folta (Desire Collins) and Anna (Shawn) Osterbrink; six great-grandchildren, Brennan, Addison, Tyler, Carson, Daniel III and Harper; and two nieces, Pam (Kevin) Sturm of Merrill and Joy Beckman of Merrill. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Folta; her parents, Matt and Hilda Beyer; a granddaughter, Michelle Folta; and her brother and sister-in-law, Edwin (Kay) Beyer.
The funeral service for Lucille will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Scott Gustafson will officiate. Entombment will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home and after 9:30 A.M. Tuesday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
