Obituary for Edna Mae Tubbin
Edna M. Tubbin, 101, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Ascension Good Samaritan Hospital, Merrill.
Edna was born January 18, 1917, in Gleason, daughter of the late Paul and Bertha (Borchardt) Genrich. She married Harry G. Tubbin February 8, 1936 in Gleason. He preceded her in death in October of 1977. Edna was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill, where she was involved in the Ladies Aid. Edna was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and playing cards. Most of all, Edna enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Harry A. (Betty Anne) Tubbin and Jerry (Judy) Tubbin of Merrill; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Tubbin; parents, Paul and Bertha Genrich; grandson, Alan Tubbin; sister, Lorraine (Red) Harder; and brothers, Vernon (Gail) Genrich and Elroy (Betty) Genrich.
The funeral service for Edna Tubbin will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 22, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. David Szeto will officiate. Burial will take place at Merrill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
